 Professor Sudha Deshmukh is a biophysicist with over 30 years of experience in research and postgraduate teaching. She earned her Ph.D degree in Physics from Nagpur University, Maharashtra, India and later pursued post-doctoral research at Aarhus University, Denmark, University of Notre Dame, USA, Emory University, USA and Georgia State University, USA. She joined the faculty of Cancer Institute, Chennai and was the Head of their Biophysics Division. She also served as the Member Secretary and Officer-in-Charge of the Center for Research in Radiation Oncology and Allied Sciences (CRROAS) – A research Cell of the Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India at Cancer Institute, Chennai. Major research interests of Dr. Deshmukh include biomolecular spectroscopy and bioinformatics. She has published several research papers in international journals, guided research at Ph.D. and M.Sc. levels and also reviewed research papers in prestigious international journals. She was a visiting scientist at Skejby Syghus, Aarhus Kommune Hospital, Aarhus, Denmark. Professor Deshmukh is currently heading the Center for Postgraduate Studies of Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College, Bangalore
