The Program for Biosafety Systems (PBS) participated in the fourth meeting of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety (COP/MOP-4), in Bonn , Germany from May 12-16.
PBS team members involved in the Public Research and Regulation Initiative (PRRI) made statements during plenary and working group sessions on topics such as socioeconomic considerations, risk assessment, and liability and redress. IFPRI and PBS also hosted three side events, together with partners such as PRRI, IOBC, and Oxfam America, and provided project and research materials at an information booth at the meeting’s Plaza of Diversity.
