Cultivation of GMOs rises in Many European Countries

Western corn rootworm in Germany: Pest control with side-effects

So far only small numbers of insects have been found, but it is only a matter of time before the Western corn rootworm becomes a problem for maize farmers in Germany. Once it has become established it is not easy to control. In the spring numerous bee colonies died in south-west Germany because of incorrect treatment of the maize seed. Bt maize pollen poses no risk to green lacewings
